The New Drive Drunk

Astigmatism, that is the word of the day. The reason for this is safety, realizing that your condition may call for better treatment so you aren’t an unknown victim.

This condition causes extreme impairment in the departments of depth perception. The level of impairment is so high that drivers aren’t making the safest calls when their astigmatism is in full flare. I’ve seen anything from late braking to other road-symptoms such as poor left hand turns in front of oncoming traffic. All of these were not confirmed astigmatism incidents of course. This is only a hypothesis at this time, that the untreated condition of astigmatism is the root cause of and is related to automobile crashes in the form of rear-ends, head on collisions and much more.

First of all, we have to make a recipe. A schematic for change, if you really think you’ve got what it takes. Naturally, it’s got to start with you. The basis for your change. You have to be selfish on this one last account. Look inside and ask yourself some questions. Why are you sorry? Why do you want to make amends? Why do you claim to be worthy of trust yet speak a different story with your actions? Do you have faith in yourself?

Keep in mind this reading is not intended for your old habits. You have to reinvent yourself for what I share with you to work, and you must apply these things, not just rehearse them in your head.

This is not the easy way. This path is the most difficult one to walk, considering your circumstances. You know the easy path, you’ve been walking it your entire life. If you’re looking for the easy route, the path of least resistance and confrontation, go walk that path. Go ahead, run. Crawl back to the filth that paralyzes your clear sight and leaves you shivering in quiet despair.

Or, why not embark on a new journey? However you view yourself, change it. Mix it up for the better. It’s never too late. Never.
